Shelf life of Rose's Lime Juice

Postby SternoBoy » Sat Jul 01, 2006 4:40 pm

I was about to make myself a kamikaze but the bottle of Rose's seems to have been sitting in frudge for, oh, about two years. Does this stuff have a shelf life?

I know it does if you don't refridgerate it! I would guess that in the fridge at worst it's become a lime liquer. My general rule of thumb- there's no mold it's good.

Well, I needed an excuse to go to liquor store anyway. The old bottle of Rose's is now relegated to the "Emergency Provisions" section of the fridge. Ya' never know when you might need it. But now I've got a fresh bottle and some stogies. Happy 4th of July!

My current bottle of Rose's is in the fridge. 6 months old. Tastes fine, and I expect it to last for another 6 months. If you haven't finished up your Rose's after more than a year, you're not drinking enough.

With that much sugar it probably isn't going to kill you... but it gets gummy and sticky, dip into your savings and buy a new bottle... better yet, try some of that lurid green Mexican lime soda pop... l.ove that shit...

I don't have any Rose's. I just use lime juice and simple syrup when it's called for.
