I'm not an alcoholic, but...

Postby WolfOfTheWest » Sun Jul 01, 2012 4:35 pm

...but I did just promise my girl I wouldn't have another drink for the rest of the week if she would gimme the car keys to go get some more beers for tonight.

This obviously was a false-hood. I got my beers for tonight, but I worry that I suggested having to take a break just to get them.......

Is your GF s0ber?

If so, send her to the liquor store and promise her something special...like maybe you'll try to do better about not leaving the toilet seat up after you piss.

Fuck that any chick says anything about my drinking other than "ready for another?" gets kicked to the curb. Or sent straight to prison.

Ask yourself, are the kind of man who likes to have the occassional cold one or are you an aspiring 1000L champion?

Are you the drinking equivalent of an unfit slob being thrown in to a marathon or are you like one of those super-marathon freaks who can run from dawn till dusk on a bottle of water & a few bananas?

If you got your priorities straight and realized that drinking is your main objective whereas fickle things like friends, family, a job etc. are mere inconveniences, then this problem wouldn't arise in the first place.

Man up and drink up!!

This.
Goes both ways though.

HA! Perhaps, but who am I to tell?

Actually, my comment was made from the female POV.
Thirsty's comment was valid, but gender specific.
I was just showing agreement with my good friend Thirsty's post--as it goes both ways. The woman isn't always the devil incarnate.
Glad I found DH--he just asked me if I was 'ready for another' and then passed out on the bed.
Oh well...

Dimes,Thirsty, dimes...

(was great chatting with you the other night--can't remember a whit of what was said, but remember the general feeling, and overall drunkenness of the occasion).
