I see seven votes (less mine), but no responses. This kinda anonymous, milktoast politics is what got Dubya elected.

That's why I'm here, and saying I posted for Obama.

I did it because of his lack of experience.

I say Romney, furthest right on economic issues and the furthest way from getting involved in my bidness.

I am very worried that people are picking Obama just because he's young without even considering his positions.

I am completely for Ron Paul..I made my first campaign donation and have a yard sign up..

Even if he does not win I pray the people of this country get the message..

I have considered the positions, and, although Obama is a little more conservative than I am, I guess he'll do.

If it were up to me, I think there would be a poor vs rich Second Civil War.

But, that being said, the one Republican I would vote for would be McCain.
There's a man that has lived his whole life believeing in what he believes in, and the hell with all the party crap. That's what cost him the nod in 2000, and it will cost him the nod this year, and when it does, remember I said so.

I choose Giuliani. I think he's strong on defense, and he's demonstrated that he can lower taxes and cut spending.

Those are my key issues. Strong defense, smaller government. That's all I need from the Fed. The rest I'll take care of myself. Promises of free stuff by other people's money hold no value for me. There are no other people - there is We The People, and we should keep the money we earn. Pass or fail, we're always better off with our own consequences.

I actually voted Obama, but figured I'd give people a chance to respond before promoting him. My biggest draw to Obama is the idea of what he calls a transparent government, where meetings that traditionally would go on behind closed doors happen in a public venue.

I also noticed a large number of Ron Paul voters here, and among people I know. It seems like his supporters are highly visible, but not statistically as significant as you would think at the voting booth. Kind of a strange phenomenon.

Paul's supporters are actually energized and why they're so visible. The reason he doesn't do as well at the polls is because he's horrible at explaining his positions in soundbite format which is what candidates like Obama excel at. Couple that with the new GOP's hatred for the libertarian wing of the party and the media's focus on his kookier supporters and you end up with someone that doesn't do as well as the polls as you may expect.

He does do very well in the primaries for someone that's supposedly unelectable, though whenever he beats Rudy McRomney or Thompson in a primary, it's completely ignored.

Or the supposed Paulbots that flood every online poll.

I'm going to show my age here, but I remember another new politician that was outside Washington. That new face that got elected and what it did to this country was Jimmy Carter. Aside from all the foreign policy stuff, what I remember the most was the 18.75% interest rates. I remember the gas lines. The whole reason companies like GMAC and Ford Motor Credit started up was so the auto industry could sell the cars they were making. People couldn't afford to buy them at those rates and the 18% was for people with good credit. Just a warning, voting for a guy because he doesn't have ties to Washington is foolish. It's happened before and it was disasterous.

Look at how people define rich and when a tax cut or health care is at stake...what would it be like if it was life or death?
