Election Fodder and Real thoughts...

Postby felinamojokitty » Thu Mar 13, 2008 6:56 pm

Now we are in the second phase of the 'primaries'..

My take?? Candidates should announce in October and raise money-then campaign (and raise money throughout) from January 1 to March 31--then have ONE National primary on April 1st..(April Fools day) to hell with the lobbyists etc. All is decided then and THEN the nominees continue to raise money until election day.

What are your thoughts if any?

who are you for?

or want more information about?

what are your concerns about the current candidates?

I think we need a sex-mo-sheen in the white house: Eliot Spitzer.

We already know he likes spending a shitload of money to fuck, so at least we aint going to be shocked when he spends a shitload of money to fuck us.

I'm reminded of the South Park episode "Douche and Turd". It's 2004 all over again.

I'm gonna be nic's campaign manager.

It'll be hyper-patriotic and as nice as a rabid badger.

I'm curious why anyone here would choose Obama or McCain.

To appeal to the audience here, only Ron Paul would allow the elimination of the ridiculous federal laws on the age of drinking as well as the annoying federal taxes that make our precious substance so needlessly expensive; if anything, McInsane and Obama would allow the increase in federal regulations and taxations.

As for other issues, both McCain and Obama are the typical sleazy, government-expanding types who just love promoting the nanny state.

Just today, the military and -- OF COURSE -- Obama's people are roasting Hillary for claiming she encountered sniper fire on a visit to Bosnia, back when Bill was prez.

Between Obama's wacko preacher and shit like this, the Dems are gonna "swift boat" themselves and each other, while McCain just waltzes into the White House.

As long as ol' John doesn't get caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl, he just has to hang around and pick off the winner of the B & H cat-fight. These two will dredge up every piece of dirt on the other that they can, with McCain and the 'Pubs taking notes on everything.

They're also spending A LOT of money fighting each other; money that will be needed for the general election campaign.

I believe we need a real third party choice. I'm not talkiing about Nader or the Libertarians, I'm talkin OMRLP like they have in Britain.
Let me also be the first to nominate Sonic Screwball, Wahoohah, Nic the Chick, and Fiyah to head the U.S. version of this party, not just because their names fit, but also because they are: Stark. Raving. Mad.

http://www.omrlp.com/
If you got the time, read their manifesto. Good shit right there.
Despite being completely loony, some of the policies in their manifesto have became laws in England, such as voting at the age of 18, passports for pets (which enables pets to travel between countries without going through quarantine), and ALL DAY PUB OPENINGS!
With a political ideology mired in insanity, who among us could willfully check any other box on the ballot?

Thank Yew.
And, while I have the floor, let me be the first to accept this nomination. Consider this my official announcement.
I, I guess, could probably be a better president than the other folks. Vote for me.

Here's my platform:

...

I have no platform. These political pricks all boast on how they are "public servants". You know they lie. I, for the very first time in American history, vow to truly be a public servant. You will tell me what I should do. You will tell me what to think. I promise, if elected, to be an empty head with a HUGE e-mail account.

That, plus, I only become constitutionally eligible to be president the day before election day. How cool is that! You want change? How 'bout voting for the guy that couldn't even be allowed to be President until the day before you voted him in?

You think any of those gonna-be-elected bastards will give you their personal e-mail? Here's mine:
Waahoohah@operamail.com
Oh, that? Yeah, I did that, it's my fault. I'm sorry.

I, Sonic Screwball, Shadow Minister for Couch Eating Dingos and Broken VCR (Beta) of East Buda, accepts your offer of nomination by throwing a can of sardines at a picture of Norman Mailer.

and to that fast typing Waahooha, I know who my Dad is, I just don't know his name.
