nice to see someone who is not afraid to say yes...

you know what ?

I believe in a higher power...aka....God... or what ever the current spiritual interpretation of God in this continuum

i have faith in spirits (both the liquid kind and the ethereal) i have little faith in man and his interpretation of such spirits..and 'religion'

and yes the female is in there..

I have repeatedly told door to door 'jesus sellers' that i don't believe in God ... just to get them the fuck away..
will i go to hell for that? maybe.. get the fuck off my porch..

something is out there and beyond us in this world and life...
and when we are gasping for our last breath...what will we cry out.....

eh

The ability to reason also gives man the need for one.
Doesn't it make you feel better to know that there is a better place, where all your loved ones go?

After his demise, my grandfather told me he couldn't believe how long it took him to get here.
Where, Granddad, where?

I think there is a key in the amopunt of alcohol it takes for me to stop caring if I'm wearing trousers in public, divided by the number of question marks in each particluar post, times the beers left in my fridge, plus 1

But really , if you wanna talk religeon, maybe you should quit tellin them zealots to "Get the fuck off my porch". and chat with em. They are a trip. Amazingly enough, as welcoming as I am to the Jesus peddlers, they never stick around very long at my place.

i have thirsty..and that's why they keep coming back..'religion' and belief are different in my humble opinion.

i never actually said get the fuck off my porch just thought it ;)

i must live in a prime jehovas witness zone..and my neighbor kept pushing for us to go to his lutheran
church and i just finally said ' i don't go to chuch anymore' he backed off.

the ability to reason also gives the reason for not needing one as well.

If your domicile has a door which can be approached from the street, you live in a prime JW zone.

When asked, I jus say I'm a Reconstructionist Heathen- though when you think of it, it sounds like it's a phrase you would shout after people who bother you. "Step off, you reconstructionist heathen!"

which reminds me; that After the bomb I'm going to start a norse tribal cult focusing on the events and cosmological order post-ragnarok, when the new world rises from the ashes.

How many Christians does it take to change a light bulb?

Charismatic: Only one. Hands already in the air.
Pentecostal: Ten. One to change the bulb, and nine to pray against spirit of darkness.
Presbyterians: None. Lights will go on and off at predestined times.

Roman Catholic: None. Candles only.
Baptists: At least 15. One to change the light bulb, and three committees to approve the change and decide who brings the potato salad
and fried chicken.

Episcopalians: Three. One to call the electrician, one to mix the drinks, and one to talk about how much better the old one was.
Methodists: Undetermined. Whether your light is bright, dull, or completely out, you are loved. You can be a light bulb, turnip bulb, or
tulip bulb. Church-wide lighting service is planned for Sunday. Bring bulb of your choice and a covered dish.

Nazarene: Six. One woman to replace the bulb while five men review church lighting policy.
Lutherans: None. Lutherans don't believe in change.

Amish: What's a light bulb?

Gnostics: As many as possible will rush to this as this is surely the work of that malevolent prick Yahweh trying to litteraly keep them in the dark, while a couple of them, possibly the cathars of the bunch will consider this a blessing- the lightbulb was just another of those perverted and useless materialistic knick-knacks anyway. The Cainites will consider this as a sign and will use this as a chance to ritually slaughter the rest of the gang, though half of the bunch has already anticipated this and willingly particide in self-sacrifice, and thus ridding themselves of their imperferct earthly shells.

I'm spiritual - but no belief in g-d with a capital "G." I'm all about good karma getting you where you need to be in life. That's it for me, in a nutshell.
