So this Scotch stuff isn't so awfully terrible

In fact I rather enjoyed the Oban I just had and am waiting for my big bro to bring a bottle of Langaluven (sp?) over 'cause he's so excited that I've grown up and don't think it all taste like a burnt tire and will now cure me of my childish bourbon affinity and I haven't the heart to tell him that I'm just in it for the buzz.

Drinking some scotch now, I love it. For some reason I get the best drunk feeling from scotch over any other drink. Must be drinking it at the right pace. It's like a warm relaxing drunkness where everything is comfortable.

I bought Grumpy some Glenlivet for Christmas. I think it tastes terrible, but he likes it.

Indeed, underneath the peat is an almost citrusy smoothness. I overindulged in scotch on New Year's and the hangover was quite mild, though I did puke in the bushes outside my friend's house. Auld Lang Syne.

Scotch is an acquired taste.

But once it's acquired, boy howdy!
