I've got a friend who moved to Montreal recently, and he swears this is the best place in the world. Apparently, Canadian people are incredibly friendly and prone to apéritif.

Your friend is correct. People here are ridiculously friendly. I immigrated here from Russia. Hell, as soon as I have enough money I will come to France, things are too expensive down here despite being friendly.

France has gotten awfully expensive too: a "demi" (25cl of shitty beer) is now 3 euros in most places. Indecent. It's a good thing wine is still cheap.

That's bad news, but still, the wine alone is worth a visit.

I confirm.
I buy an average 200 bottles a year. Living in Bordeaux helps.
