I can't honestly remember if I've ever had any kind of mead. Maybe once in England(?), but that would've been 25-30 years ago.

After a little bit of practice, it's easy to make delicious mead that fits your own tastes - and is sure to harvest some applause from your friends. Making stuff yourself is also coincidently a great way of sticking it to the man.

I made proper mead, think I used shitty yeast though, that's all it tasted of, like beer that had been left in a glass for a few days, then reduced down in a pan with some marmite

I thought I drank mead the other day but it was actually "honey liquer" that was nonetheless over 40% ABV. It came from Poland. I threw the bottle out and don't remember what it was called.
