It's a rare day when I leave the house without the flask FNZ gave me in last year's HBE. I rarely nip from it, but it's my security blanket- I have two double bourbons available at a moment's notice.

I mean you could drive a car without a spare tire, but that's the sort of behavior that's going to bite you in the ass eventually. Why risk it?

Used to carry a 12 ouncer regularly. Then one day it sprung a leak, but was somewhat relieved when the smell turned out to be whiskey leaked into my jacket pocket and not something emanating from the pores. Nowadays a discrete gatorade bottle generously spiked with vodka does the trick. Has anyone tried taking those little airplane bottles to the airport? I mean if they fit in your plastic baggie, who's to stop you?

I can dig the plastic flask for its utilitarian purposes, but there's nothing like pulling a metal flask filled with whiskey out of the freezer and tucking it away in your warm coat, then going to the corner cafe and ordering up a steamy cup of joe and when your eyes open, pulling out your icy flask for a nip...the taste on your tongue, combining as it does with your morning coffee, is enough to knock your socks off.

I guess it's sorta like my hangover cure that calls for a can of Coke (an aluminum can, if you please) and never ever ever a plastic bottle of Coke. There's a difference there, between the metal vessel and the plastic container. I'm not smart enough to know what makes metal better at holding drink than plastic, but good old trial and error has taught me a thing or two.

A gentleman should always carry a flask of at least moderate whiskey in his coat pocket. One never knows when a fair maiden will arouse a situation of discomfort. There is nothing more comforting to a gentleman than a nip of the sauce when his fine, silk handkerchief is being assaulted with boogie-woogies from that emotional lass.

I got three disposable plastic flasks for christmas, hold 7 ounces and you flail it while blacked out no big deal. They are also very small in size when empty, pretty much polyurethane bags with twist tops

the motto on the back is "innovation meets discretion"

Is this what you're talking about? I like this idea.

Tried carrying a flask at one point of time. Didn't work, always managed to polish it off within half an hour of leaving the house.

That would probably be over before stepping out at all. Its all very complicated.
