I've been trying to gain info on Tom Sims Bourbon. Was given 2 bottles,1-quart bottle has a irs stamp the 750ml bottle has a atf stamp. Every thing Ihave read and seen shows lables of 6 year old bourbon. Both of these bottles are labled 8 year. Any info would be great. Dont want to crack the seals unti I get all the answers.
"A formal company history for this bourbon was unable to be attained. What is known is that Tom Sims is a bourbon aged for 6 years created in the Thomas Sims distillery in Bardstown, KY. For a brand of whiskey to be on the market without any formal company history is a tad peculiar. Typically Kentucky distilleries take great pride in their whiskey making heritage and prefer to share it with customers."
"In my view, the plastic bottle adversely affects the flavor of the bourbon."
