i voted hendrix for sure--though stevies' always moves me also
on a sweet note--and i know you drunkards have a tender spot in your heart--this video (set to hendrix little wing is about an akita who adopts a baby robin-play with sound and it is only 2 minutes)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=gq8LHVduqJghere is the story to the video:
My 13 yo akita named Kikka, adopted a baby robin that i rescued from a fallen nest. The other babies drowned in nearby pond... this was the only survivor. The parents where nowhere to be found. having volunteered at a wildlife rehab center as a teen. I decided to raise the bird until it could survive on its own.
Kikka seemed to be very interested in the bird ...and after a couple of days i let her examine the bird. She would very gently sniff her, even very delicately massage her with her mouth just as if it were a newborn puppy. The bird would sleep on her hip during the day. When the bird started hopping all over the place, Kikka would follow it.
It got to the point that the bird would seek out the dog and vice versa. On a few occasions, when Kikka would be on her bed and the bird was hopping nearby she would very gently pull the bird by its tail onto her bed using her front teeth.
At that point the bird would hop onto kikka's hip for a nap.
Weeks later, the bird was starting to fly well . Early in the morning i would take the bird with Kikka in tow to the lawn hoping it would start to forage for food on its own. One day the bird flew to the top of the chimney of my house. Kikka yelped and cried. She seemed to sense the danger that was lurking above...a red-tail hawk, but there was nothing we could do . This video is in memory to Kikka's bird
